Saturn Presents
Alive After 5 - 2008!

Every weekday in June, the Alive After 5 concerts fill Peavey Plaza with music from blues to swing to rock.

The concerts are free and concert-goers may enjoy a variety of food and drink from a variety of vendors including Famous Dave's, Fisherman's Wharf and Ben & Jerry's, Tacos, and new in 2008, a Flat-Bread Pizza Vendor!  Alive has been a Downtown tradition for 23 years.

Tables and chairs are set up to enjoy the music in Downtown's one and only Peavey Plaza on 11th & Nicollet Mall.

Weekday lunch at Peavey features for "Tunes at Noon" featuring many acoustic musicians, from 11:30 to 1 p.m.

The Alive After Five and Tunes at Noon concerts are sponsored by Saturn, Sam Adams, Cities 97, City Pages, Sutter Home, and the Minneapolis Downtown Council.

Downtown Network Volunteer Information:

Downtown Network members & guests contribute by volunteering to staff the beverage booth. Members have priority for volunteer sign-up over guests.

Up to eight volunteers are needed, (more on Premium nights), to work the beverage tent for the concert series, Monday through Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.

The tent consists of beer and wine and on occasion a few specialty drinks.

Volunteers are needed to pour, serve beverages and assist customers. Any guests must be 21.

All volunteers receive complimentary meals & beverages!

Anyone volunteering for more than 1 night receives Sam Adams shirts and a hat or visor!  Each night, one lucky volunteer will receive a FREE music CD of their choice via Amazon.com.

Contact Charlie Casserly at cpcasserly@aol.com for more information on Alive After Five.
